Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the
Central Bank of Nigeria at a conference held at The Central Bank of Nigeria in
Lagos today, 4th of July, 2016 disclosed that the Central Bank of
Nigeria has taken control over the management of Skye Bank Plc.
It was stated by the Governor, Godwin
Emefiele that the CBN took control over the management of the Bank as a result
of the inability of Skye Bank to meet the Minimum Key Liquidity Ratio as well
as the Capital Adequacy Ratio. A new board has been appointed to effect this
change in the management and Control of the institution.
