ARREST THEM ALL......Spartacus Ambode
In fulfilling his thoughtless
implementation, over 100 hawkers have been arrested. I am sure none of them, will
be able to pay N90,000 as an option,
therefore, 6 months in jail is certain for them, except the 'Incorruptible' KAI
officials do not hesitate to collect N500 and 2 plastic bottles of chilled
maltina.
Therefore, more than 100 young,
hardworking and ‘never-say-die’ spirit-filled people will join prisons that are
already congested with criminals…..After 6 months, they will be back as better
citizens with jobs, right??? I have nothing to say, but God dey!!!!....RIP

For those rejoicing because
they believe it is the right step due to robbery by ‘hawkers’. If indeed they
rob! Is it all of them that do so? Do you know that people hawk in the USA too?
Yes, they do especially in New York but it is very little and unreported! If
robbing is your reason, then we should stop government too, because the political
class do not only rob us but gang rape us violently too… But we can’t remove
government, because there is no alternative to government now, as all of us can’t
rule ourselves at the same time. The keyword here is ALTERNATIVE! Just as there
is no alternative to government as a means of running and ensuring social order
in a State, you can’t take peoples’ only way of surviving from an imposed
poverty without giving them another option to live on. Again, why is the
government instantly ready to enforce it now? Is it because of the robbery
incident, no, it is because the hawkers destroy their interest! We shouldn’t be
deceived, when election comes, they will de-enforce it. I remember, during the
last election, ‘Spartacus Ambode’ patronized them as a form of public stunt, in
a sane clime; such act makes him a violator of the same law. Nobody wishes to
be a hawker. It is a very difficult path of life, but far more dignifying than
robbery or stealing! The fact that some police officials are corrupt, or kill
people for baseless unjustifiable reasons doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be
police in the society. Government has a duty to alleviate its people from
poverty, and when that has been clearly done, nobody will hawk!
All is well….I know it is
unjust, unfair and devilish. I pray those who support this action of the
Government will not experience what today’s Hawkers are experiencing.
