36 FANS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN LILLE, FRANCE AFTER CLASH WITH FRENCH POLICE

About 16 fans were hospitalized and 36 were arrested after English fans at the Euro 2016 tournament ignored pleas from the Football Association on Wednesday night by becoming involved in clashes and running battles with the French police.

According to reports, some of the English fans got angry after a bar decided to stop selling alcohol earlier than expected and this led to their unruly behaviour as they wandered about aimlessly causing trouble. The British Police persuaded the French authorities to allow them try to negotiate with the English fans. The CRS Police however lost patience and arrested some of the fans after they ignored pleas from the British Police and continued misbehaving.
